Blues & Jazz #gtr03

Guitar Online. 12 weeks course

Those guitarists who play blues have a big advantage over those who don’t. No matter what style of music you’re playing – jazz, classical, rock – but having the knowledge of blues you have a better understanding of music form, control of phrases, feeling and the harmony use that help to improvise in any genre. The Course teaches the specifics of the 12-bar blues, shows the notes on the neck, usage of the blues scales, usage of a slide for the slide guitar playing, usage of bass in your guitar playing and other nuances to achieve the technique of the masters such as B.B. King or T-Bone Walker and others.

Jazz is founded on blues but it gives a unique individuality to each of the guitarists to achieve his/hers own style. The Course shows reharmonization of chords, use of jazz scales, arpeggios, developing a melody on a given harmony as guitarists such as Wes Montgomery, John Scofield, Mike Stern or Pat Martino did.
